You'll play a key role in training new staff to work on the counter in a branch office and delivering refresher training to senior staff to ensure our standards remain high. Your responsibilities may require you to travel to various branches to conduct training sessions and assist employees. Occasionally, work the counter in the Wethersfield Branch Office or other nearby locations to keep your skills sharp and training new hires on the counter.
Examines and reviews forms for completeness, accuracy, legibility, and conformance with regulations;
Determines if transactions are new, transfers, class transfers or record transfers and processes accordingly;
Issues Connecticut duplicate title certificates;
Issues motor vehicle registrations;
Deals directly with general public, performs limited restorations of driver’s licenses or motor vehicle registrations;
Determines compliance with motor vehicle “brands” from other jurisdictions and applies them to Connecticut Certificate of Titles;
Processes payments of civil penalties and fee adjustments;
Researches title history on vehicles;
May research stolen vehicles;
Works with DMV inspectors and/or local and state enforcement agencies;
examine documents for completeness, accuracy and compliance with established requirements;
Examines certificates of title and other documents and supporting data;

One (1) year as a Motor Vehicle Examiner may be substituted for the General and Special Experience.
Experience reviewing and verifying identity documents and legal records for compliance with federal guidelines
Experience communicating verbally and in writing in a professional setting
Experience working with Branch Operations Operating Systems, such as SalesForce, Connecticut Integrated Vehicle and Licensing System (CIVLS), Mainframe Licensing System known as CATER, Quick Service Center (QSC) Appointment system.
Experience with face-to-face customer service interactions
