The role involves designing plumbing, heating, and fire protection systems to local and international standards, including those for Canada, the Middle East, the UK, and Europe. Responsibilities include creating domestic water, sanitary, drainage, wet and dry fire protection, medical gas, and LPG designs, conducting peer reviews, producing technical review reports, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering and have 7‑10 years of experience in plumbing and fire engineering within a consultancy environment. Professional registration (P.Eng, C.Eng or I.Eng) or progress toward chartership is required, along with proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and hydraulic calculation software such as HydraCALC, SprinkCALC, and HASS. Knowledge of BS, NFC, NPC, LEED, NFPA, FM Global, CIBSE, UPC, IBC, IPC and IOP codes is essential.
