Tasks
-Assign work to teams, monitor, and manage the work -Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures -Incorporate health, safety, and environmental factors in design -Develop and update job execution plans -Develop the most cost-effective total project solution for execution of the discipline design work -Contribute to and promote the use of Fluor’s knowledge management portals and communities -Monitor and support work performed by Fluor offices or other designated entities performing Distributed Execution Engineering -Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines -Execute project work in accordance with approved Activity Plans -Develop and review specifications, including design criteria -Review layouts and/or schematics for conceptual and detailed designs developed by the design group -Review vendor equipment documentation within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution -Develop and build external relations with client representatives and interface closely with other discipline functions, promoting Client Service Excellence -Participate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting -Support proposal and estimate activities -Assist with departmental administrative duties -Perform, direct, and oversee audits -Supervise and provide guidance/assistance to project designers -Support Functional Process Lead and Department Manager on initiatives -Review bulk material take-off analysis and tabulations -Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies -Managing and leading a small/medium project -Engage Fluor’s global community, promoting a OneFluor mindset -Review fabricator drawings -Develop estimates and schedules, staffing requirements, and progress reports, including manpower forecasts -Managing and leading a large project -Review 2D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drawings and the 3D model using the 3D Review platform -Deliver quality work and adhere to the Operating System Requirements (OSR) -Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job -Assist in the development of department standards, procedures, practices, and guidelines -Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines -Develop and review project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other project baseline documents for all phases of projects -Establish, track, and monitor material key quantities; provide analysis and forecasts -Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards -Participate in people development through mentoring, development of training material, conducting training seminars, and providing performance appraisal input and counseling -Prepare/review scopes of work for third-party contracts

What You Bring
-Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job -Knowledge of commercial availability and cost of materials -Intermediate knowledge of: -Accredited two (2) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twenty (20) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twenty-two (22) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements. -Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs -Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors -Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines -Hexagon Smart® Review -2D and 3D design software -A minimum of 5 years of work experience in Mining industry is essencial to be considered as a candidate for this role -Hydrologic analysis and hydraulic design (civil -Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner -Practical field experience -Advanced knowledge of: -May need to travel to attend to business-related matters
