Account Executive

Description

• Build and develop strong relationships with new and existing clients
• Take full responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of smaller projects
• Manage full financial delivery of smaller projects in line with agreed margin targets
• Organize and facilitate project meetings for assigned accounts
• Support the account team in delivering complex event and creative projects
• Assist with the delivery of content solutions including video, presentations and animation
• Take part in team meetings, activities and wider business initiatives
• Actively promote company values and positive behaviours
• Prepare and present proposals and pitch documentation for smaller opportunities
• Support budget control and financial reconciliation alongside the Account Director
• Liaise directly with clients, suppliers and internal departments
• Provide on-site event support where required
• Participate in creative meetings led by senior team members
• Source and brief external producers, freelancers and internal creative support
• Take and interpret client briefs, translating requirements clearly for internal teams
• Maintain accurate project costings and financial records
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records for clients and suppliers
• Update contact details, notes and supplier rate information
• Engage collaboratively with colleagues and contribute ideas
• Participate in pitch teams where appropriate
• Take ownership of day-to-day relationships with junior and mid-level client contacts
• Complete project documentation in line with ISO9001 standards
• Support quote preparation, budget tracking and reconciliation
• Liaise with external Health & Safety advisors as required
• Assist with creative development for event, video and content-led projects
• Undertake relevant Health & Safety and First Aid training when necessary
• Support the wider account team on larger-scale pitches
• Manage client briefs, timelines and internal coordination

Requirements

This role offers the opportunity to work with a broad range of clients, including recognized brands, supporting the delivery of large-scale event and content projects while also managing smaller projects independently. It is ideally suited to someone with agency or event production experience who enjoys a varied, fast-paced environment.

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established events and creative communications agency seeking an experienced Account Executive to join its Midlands-based team.

• Confident working as part of a team and seeing projects through to completion
• Proactive and autonomous approach with clear ownership of tasks
• Flexible and adaptable in a fast-moving environment
• Previous experience in event production, agency or creative project delivery
• Ability to manage pressure and multiple priorities
• Communicate clearly and professionally throughout the project lifecycle
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across varying levels of seniority
• Client-facing experience and project coordination exposure
• Creative mindset with the confidence to challenge ideas
• Complete event-specific Health & Safety documentation
• Comfortable with regular UK travel and occasional international travel
• Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (essential due to office location and travel requirements)
• Strong IT and systems literacy
