Chief Illumination, Lift & Escalator Expert- BID Position

Description

• Lead the design review and technical evaluation of illumination (lighting), lifts (elevators), and escalator systems to ensure compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and local regulations.
• Oversee the installation, integration, and commissioning of lighting, lifts, and escalators across all metro stations and associated facilities.
• Review and approve all technical documents, drawings, and material submittals related to lighting, lifts, and escalators, ensuring quality and compatibility.
• Conduct inspections, quality checks, and acceptance tests to verify proper functioning and reliability of installed systems.
• Ensure all systems adhere to safety standards, accessibility requirements, and energy efficiency protocols, obtaining necessary certifications and approvals.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and training to project engineers and maintenance teams on operations and best practices for lighting, lift, and escalator systems.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, architects, and other engineering teams to resolve technical issues and manage interfaces throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• 20+ years in rail related major infrastructure project/railway/ metro. Shall have experience of writing and execution lifts escalator procurement specifications and managing /reviewing detailed design of lifts/ escalator in at least two metro railway projects.
• Graduate in Electrical or or Mechanical Engineering
