Cash and Collections Specialist

Description

The Cash and Collections Specialist supports cash‑application and collections functions for one or more CCS branch offices, working closely with the Cash and Collections Manager and the branch General Manager(s). The role handles collection efforts via phone and email, applies check and ACH payments daily, and researches unapplied cash to ensure proper allocation.

Key duties include managing collection activities for assigned accounts, responding to customer questions and complaints, contacting clients to resolve billing disputes and collect past‑due invoices, investigating cash‑application inquiries, and performing collection and reporting tasks in line with monthly‑close deadlines. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

The position requires high attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication, and experience in a customer‑service‑focused environment. Candidates must be able to handle confidential information, possess strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, and are compensated at $23–$25 per hour.
