The Production Technologist evaluates products to ensure quality, functionality, and timely delivery of planned equipment. They inspect equipment before release and uphold the organisation’s safety culture. Maintaining 5S during assembly work is a core responsibility.
Key responsibilities include adhering to Health, Safety & Environment guidelines, assembling and testing drills per order forms and GA drawings (hydraulics, welding, fitting, pressing), ensuring quality against specifications, completing assembly checklists and IPV, communicating issues to supervisors, and verifying warehouse‑issued materials. Daily work is recorded in workbook KPF‑E‑101 while 5S, Lean, and Kanban practices are maintained. The role also involves participating in cost‑saving and Kaizen initiatives, keeping the workplace clean, conducting regular toolbox talks, moving completed equipment to the finished‑goods area, loading it for dispatch, and operating overhead and jig cranes.
We are hiring a Production Technologist for our new site in Hinjewadi, Pune, tasked with delivering quality products on schedule. The role involves assembling drills according to drawings, testing products, writing reports, diagnosing and resolving issues, maintaining 5S on the shop floor, learning the assembly process, and training new personnel. Attention to detail and a solid understanding of product quality are essential. Top candidates can identify product problems and provide clear recommendations for assembly.
Candidates should hold a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and have 2‑4 years of experience on a production assembly line, preferably with heavy earth‑moving machinery such as drills. Knowledge of hydraulic components, the ability to read assembly drawings and hydraulic circuits, and hands‑on experience with high‑pressure systems are required. Familiarity with welding, hydraulic assembly, and electrical assembly is an added advantage.
