The Fire Protection Consultant will work with licensed fire protection engineers to perform all aspects of fire protection engineering, including system design, review, analysis, and implementation.
- Design fire protection and life safety systems.
- Perform hydrant flow testing under supervision.
- Conduct hydraulic analysis of fire water supply and demand.
- Analyze fire protection and life safety data to develop solutions.
- Conduct field surveys and document fire protection systems and building safety features.
- Prepare life safety plans and code compliance narratives for local, state, and federal standards.
- Support construction administration, including submittal reviews, change order resolution, and witnessing system tests.
- Assist in commissioning fire protection and life safety systems.
- Track project implementation from start to finish and prepare related documents.
- Apply fire protection codes and standards across assignments.
- Troubleshoot implementation issues and propose solutions.
- Develop knowledge of applicable codes and attend coordination/design meetings.
- Communicate effectively with clients, officials, contractors, and internal teams throughout projects.

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
- 0–5 years of fire protection engineering experience.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
- Proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD preferred.
