Lead Chemicals (Semiconductor & Advanced Manufacturing)

Description

• Lead design and optimization of bulk chemicals and slurry distribution systems from concept to detailed design.
• Specify storage, treatment, and piping components for chemical handling in semiconductor FABs.
• Monitor project KPIs (timeline, cost, quality) and implement continuous improvement to remove bottlenecks.
• Ensure BIM integration (Revit, Navisworks) and coordinate with PLC/SCADA control platforms.
• Define performance requirements in RFPs, provide quantity estimates, and drive value engineering for vendor equipment.
• Enforce safety and compliance for hazardous and cryogenic gases per SEMI, ISO, OSHA, EPA, NFPA standards.
• Collaborate with external designers, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to meet design and schedule goals.
• Prepare technical documentation (DBR, PFD, P&ID, specifications) and support feasibility, cost, and risk analyses.
• Review vendor designs, conduct FAT/SAT, and assist in commissioning, qualification, and validation of FAB processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and support training initiatives.

Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Chemicals professional for semiconductor and battery fabrication (FAB) facilities. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in designing chemical delivery systems for semiconductor manufacturing, covering photolithography, passivation, oxidation, doping, metallization, and etching processes. This role requires managing a specialist vendor ecosystem, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and operational standards, and driving innovative solutions for process efficiency and cost optimization.

• Minimum 15 years experience in semiconductor FAB process/utility design; Bachelor’s or Master’s in Chemical Engineering.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM tools, airflow simulation, and MS Office; experience with process modeling.
• Preferred: greenfield/brownfield FAB design, sustainability practices, and knowledge of local authority regulations.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, communication, and multi‑project management skills.
