Help ensure the estimating team delivers to required accuracy targets (+/- 20% for scoping/appropriation, +/- 10% for engineering)
Develop and manage work breakdown structures (WBS) and cost breakdown structures (CBS) in collaboration with project controls
Convert outdated macros into Office Scripts to improve security and shareability
Build and maintain material assemblies in estimating software (e.g., InEight, Assembly Manager) for use in cost models
Support cross-departmental collaboration by validating and standardizing departmental cost inputs
Support implementation, testing, and optimization of new estimating tools, templates, and digital platforms
Assist in integrating external resources (commissioning, inspections, surveys, trucking, etc.) into estimating templates
Provide management with reports and insights on estimating performance metrics
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies and recommending enhancements
Identify cost trends, escalation factors, and market risks to support accurate forecasting
Track and report variance between estimated and actual project costs using BI dashboards and analytical tools
Provide technical support to estimators on software use, data queries, and reporting needs
Work closely with estimators and engineers to provide accurate cost data inputs
Maintain and update estimating databases with current labor rates, material prices, bid units, and subcontractor data
Ensure cost data integrity and accuracy across all estimating tools and templates
Conduct variance analysis and lessons learned reviews to refine estimating accuracy

Master's degree in Engineering Management, Data Analytics, or Business
Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field
2–4 years of experience in cost analysis, project controls, data analytics, or estimating support
Demonstrated experience with BI reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and database management
Hands-on experience with estimating software (InEight, RSMeans, Sage Estimating, or equivalent)
Professional certifications like PMP or CAPM are a plus, especially if combined with a project controls background
3–5 years of professional experience in cost analysis, estimating support, project controls, or data analytics
Knowledge of variance analysis, forecasting, and benchmarking practices
Background in business/data analytics with strong technical acumen is also acceptable
Proficiency in Excel and data modeling skills
Experience with Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS)
Familiarity with various automation tools such as SQL or Python
Certifications from a relevant professional body, such as the AACE International Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) or a BI certification (e.g., Microsoft Power BI)
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Scripts and SharePoint Database skills
Coursework or certifications in data analytics, cost engineering, or project controls are highly desirable
