  • Analyze power and thermal metrics, including projected battery life, thermal shutdowns, and skin temperature prediction.
  • Design, simulate, and validate thermal management systems for wearable devices (e.g., smart glasses, AR headsets, wristbands).
  • Develop and implement thermal control algorithms in collaboration with hardware and software teams.
  • Collaborate with product design and electrical engineering to optimize device architecture for thermal performance.
  • Support root-cause analysis and triage of thermal-related issues in prototype and production devices.
  • Conduct real-world and lab-based thermal testing, including battery runtime and thermal duty cycling.
  • Document findings and present recommendations to engineering and product leadership.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, multidisciplinary teams.
  • 3+ years of experience in thermal engineering, preferably in consumer electronics or wearables.
  • Experience with thermal testing equipment and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in thermal simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL, FloTHERM).
  • Experience with battery and power management in compact devices.
  • Familiarity with skin temperature modeling and user comfort studies.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards for wearable electronics.
