The technician will carry out field activities such as observing, testing, inspecting, and sampling a range of construction materials—including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel—under the guidance of senior staff. They will follow industry‑standard testing procedures, collect and reduce data, maintain equipment, and keep daily communication with contractors, fellow technicians, and project managers, attending project meetings as needed.
ECS supports professional growth by providing training in its methodology, encouraging participation in internal and external training programs, and supporting certification opportunities. Candidates must have at least two years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, the ability to obtain two specialty certifications, physical capacity to lift 40–70 lb repeatedly (occasionally 85 lb), a valid driver’s license, strong communication skills, and knowledge of destructive and non‑destructive testing principles, construction safety, and basic MS Office.
