The Field Supervisor – Integrated Systems in Baltimore, MD oversees field technicians and coordinates manpower planning with sales and design personnel. Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and directing work on fire detection, alarm, security, access, CCTV, nurse call, and other monitoring devices, while also performing installations, advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs as needed. The role may involve training technicians and reviewing equipment for future improvements.
Key responsibilities involve recruiting, training, supervising, evaluating, disciplining, and, when necessary, terminating field staff, as well as overseeing warehouse personnel and purchasing coordinators. The supervisor will coordinate with design, sales, and purchasing teams throughout pre‑construction, installation, and close‑out phases, maintain communication with owners, representatives, AHJs, and inspectors, and handle client disputes with professionalism. Additional duties include quoting service and repair requests, ensuring compliance with safety standards, managing tools, equipment, and vehicle maintenance, reporting accidents, and delivering safety training in partnership with the Safety Director and Risk Manager.
Candidates should have two to three years of experience installing commercial integrated systems and possess any required state or local licensure. Essential skills include strong attention to detail, effective communication, multitasking, safety policy enforcement, the ability to instruct others, and competence in reading electrical plans, schematics, and specifications. Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to participate in an on‑call rotation are also required.
Preferred qualifications include NICET Level I or higher and working knowledge of fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and structured cabling systems.
