Utilize data from reports to identify areas of improvement, reduce waste, reduce breakdowns, and improve efficiency.
Implement change by eliminating non-valued added activities.
Hire, train and supervise team members, providing guidance and support to ensure they are successful.
Propose, estimate and manage capital improvement projects to improve efficiency, quality and safety.
Plan with maintenance to determine the best time to repair, replace or complete preventive maintenance.
Assist in the repair, construction and maintenance of the production equipment and facility.
Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with company objectives and directions from upper management.
Oversee all levels of staff activity and performance.
Define roles and responsibilities for direct reports and establish short term and long-term objectives.
Maintain a safe work environment and follow and enforce all safety regulations.
Lead the daily operations of a 3 shift concrete block production facility.
When machinery breaks down or production bottlenecks occur, they must quickly find and assign resources to efficiency troubleshoot issues.
Hands-on leadership on the factory floor and lead teams through troubleshooting and breakdowns.
Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiencies and quality targets
Manage resources (people, equipment, materials) to ensure efficient operations.
Develop and promote key players.
Constant product verification to ensure superior quality and reduce scrap & waste.
Partner with HR to develop training programs and ensure succession plan.
Ensures the production areas maintain a clean, well-organized environment through 5S and continuous improvement activities.
Maintain relationships with suppliers; negotiates pricing, defines scope of work and contract terms.
Facilitate regular operational meetings to review KPI metrics and planned improvements.
Work with planning to optimize output. i.e.- product changeovers, machine set ups, etc.

Strong abilities in planning, organizing, project management, and problem solving
Ability to influence metrics through planned decision making
7+ years of work experience in a production or operations management position
Able to hold others accountable
Experienced in equipment operation and maintenance
Experience with D365, Microsoft AX or Microsoft Power BI a plus
B.S. in engineering, business management or related discipline preferred
Able to adjust hours to lead and support a 3 shift manufacturing facility
Mechanically inclined with excellent trouble shooting skills.
Basic knowledge of electrical control systems and troubleshooting.
