Senior HR Business Partner

Description

• Strategic partner to leaders providing council on business strategies.
• Provide seasoned counsel that upholds Stantec’s culture, vision, and values and safeguards Stantec and its team members.
• Support Leaders through the business planning processes.
• Participate in identifying and implementing people-related strategic initiatives.
• Develop and maintain a trusted advisor relationship with executive leaders and their teams by presenting multiple perspectives and challenging the status quo.
• Partner with Leaders to ensure alignment to our compensation philosophy.
• Provide strategic guidance on HR disciplines including employee engagement, conflict and exit management, employment legislation, employee relations, and investigations.
• Collaborate within a geographically dispersed team to communicate, facilitate, and/or present HR programs and initiatives.
• Influence excellence and results across all HR programs through effective and easy programs and strategies.
• Serve as a workforce champion and promote a positive work environment and employee experience.
• Manage the strategy rollout and results for all HR calendar of events.
• Lead and report on workforce management activities including recruitment, retention, and workforce balance.
• Drive engagement & culture initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
• Foster a continuous improvement mindset and continually look for opportunities to increase the impact and return on investment of human resources programs.
• Guide Leaders in constructive ways to model behavior to drive engagement and retention of top talent and develop a high performing team.
• Collaborate with partners across our HR Center’s of Excellence to harness the collective knowledge and work of our expert teams including – talent acquisition, compensation, immigration, learning and organizational development, engagement and employee experience, and benefits and wellness.
• Manage the rollout and results for talent management strategies.
• Participate in organizational design efforts to optimize structure, succession, and efficiency.
• Offer dynamic and transformative solutions, to unusual and complex issues in order to meet the business need and create an inspired culture.
• Establish and maintain credibility through a robust understanding of the business strategy, competitors and peer firms, and HR best practices.

Requirements

• Prior experience partnering and providing HR support to Corporate functions.
• Proven influencer and collaborator, with the ability to provide guidance and support to employees of all levels including executives.
• Recognized for your learning mindset, initiative, and ability to understand the business and challenges, and new and innovative approaches that result in improvements in team engagement, productivity and organizational performance.
• Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of the core HR competencies including but not limited to compensation, benefits, employment law, organizational development, talent development and training, mentoring/coaching/facilitation, recruitment and workforce planning and an overall understanding of HR policies and programs and other terms and conditions of employment, along with an understanding of HR best practices.
• Noted for your ability to identify and anticipate strategic and operational business and human capital challenges, then providing and executing innovative solutions with attention to critical details.
• Respected for balancing strategic and operational tasks with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Developed skills in coaching managers, facilitation, conflict resolution and relationship management.
• Valued for your agility and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and having a focus for action-orientation results.
• Regarded as an exceptional communicator and able to influence a broad and diverse range of stakeholders through effective relationships, verbal, and written communication.
