ACRT, Inc. is seeking energetic professionals for a Consulting Utility Forester role, suitable for both entry‑level and seasoned candidates with a background in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, environmental studies, or related fields. Foresters are responsible for identifying, inspecting, and evaluating trees and brush along utility lines, submitting results with recommendations, and coordinating tree‑clearance crews. They also negotiate access issues and serve as a liaison among clients, crews, and utility customers.
Minimum qualifications include a two‑year degree in a relevant discipline or two years of experience in utility vegetation management or related work such as right‑of‑way or timber cutting. Candidates must have competent computer skills, preferably with GIS data‑collection tools, and must be self‑motivated, organized, and able to work independently while managing a geographic area. Strong verbal and written communication, multitasking, time‑management, and the ability to work in varied terrain and inclement weather with flexible schedules are required, as is a valid driver’s license.
