Assembler for Samples

Description

Hiring an assembler that can assemble LED light fixtures and its electronic parts, can performs product repairs and update products for sample briefcases, table top trade shows and the company showroom.

This position ensures that our products are properly showcased through the samples we provide for company trade shows, at our showroom and to distributors.

• Testing fixtures: Test light fixtures and track to confirm it has the correct color chip and works prorperly
• Maintain tight coordination with sales, marketing and product engineers to ensure that you fully understand what is needed before you begin an order
• Fulfill all orders within the allotted time, work with the sales team on alternatives or partial fulfillments when needed
• Ensure that your work station has the necessary work tools, materials (supplies) and instructions needed for the fixtures you need to build
• Obtain final Quality control verifications before products leave the building, fixing anything that comes up
• Work with trade show team on the design and building of table-top trade show booths as well as the fixtures we want to showcase for all company trade shows and the in-house showroom. Repair and update anything as needed to keep it fresh and up to date.

Requirements

• Professional verbal and written communication and a positive attitude
• Able to read, interpret and follow work orders, assembly instructions and basic technical drawings
• Experience using basic hand and power tools to solder electronic components, screw / twist mechanical parts and build boxes for trade show booths (carpentry, painting)
• Able to sit or stand at a work station for 8 hours per day, with breaks while occasionally bending, stooping, twisting, and do repetitive work 2 to 4 hours at a time
• Experience with computers and software applications such as database management system, customer relation management system, word and excel
• Must have ability to select, lift, carry, and stack product weighing between 25 and 50 pounds
• Manual dexterity and constant use of hands to assemble using manual and power tools
• Prior experience in electronics and lighting components and in quality assurance or quality control is preferred, but not required.

Salary starts at $20 per hour, negotiable based on skillset and experience.

Hours, compensation and benefits: Monday through Friday, 7am-4pm with two 15-minute breaks and one hour for lunch.
