This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic approach to the procurement management process for sourcing and purchasing direct and indirect goods and services. Works closely with procurement team members in different locations to improve procurement processes and procedures. Manages the strategic supplier selection process and the development of contracts with suppliers through negotiations and competitive bidding. Develops strategic vendor relationships and supplier audits a with focus on critical supply chain inventory. Initiates cost-effective procurement and expediting of materials, equipment, and services.
- Efficiently organizes schedules to accomplish task, projects, and goals.
- Develop and implement forward thinking procurement strategies to both optimize spending and minimize risk.
- Develop and implement strategic supplier performance reviews with operations
- Develop and implement continuous operational improvements.
- Help sites optimize onsite inventory levels for effective utilization.
- Monitor, review and analyze bids and quotes with suppliers, including the negotiation of service agreements and contracts.
- Update procurement strategies based on changing market conditions.
- Oversee the development of supplier contract development and administration.
- Serves as a primary contact for strategic procurement issues, policy and alignment of purchasing departments.
- Develop procurement related training programs for the procurement teams and organization with the goal of continuous procurement process improvements and low purchase price while keeping the critical inventory available.
- Help sites manage the resource allocation to insure effective staffing levels.
- Formulate, manage, and execute procurement cost savings and innovation proposals.
- Help ensure the organized flow of products, parts and supplies throughout the organization.
- Develop effective negotiation strategies and help secure the most profitable agreements.
- Recommends technological improvements and upgrades to the procurement processes.
- Ensure that the company’s best interests are met in the management of procurement requirements and logistics through objective and ethical practices
- Maintain strong working relationships with strategic suppliers to stay well-informed of changing market conditions.

- Sound computer/software skills in Word, Excel, Power Point and MS Office, ERP systems, preferably Ellipse.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and 10 years’ experience or any combination of education and experience that provides the requisite knowledge to successful perform the job.
