Prepares, issues, and renews Limited Use Permits
Reviews surveyor and broker/agent interpretation of real property legal descriptions
May order, review, and interpret simple or complex appraisal reports
Coordinates broker/agent activities with client’s service providers and project teams
May review, negotiate, secure, and/or summarize client’s operating rights on public or private property and/or company fee-owned property
May negotiate with landowners attorneys to acquire or dispose of property rights for client, including but not limited to easements, permits, licenses
May negotiate the purchase, lease, sublease, and/or disposal of real property
Prepares correspondence and complex real estate documents (i.e. easements, deeds, leases, permits, consent agreements, etc.) -per agency instruction and appropriate level of document preparation
Responds to internal and external real estate inquiries when required by client
Leads and trains agent/broker within the company
Responds to internal and external requests regarding assigned real estate issues
Assists with cost estimates for project budgeting purposes
If necessary, participates with client’s legal counsel in litigation processes, including condemnation, if any
Researches public and company records to determine ownership, operating rights, and other real property issues
Represents client’s interest with customers and government agencies
Reviews client and/or company documents and correspondence for accuracy regarding broker/agent activities
Works with interdisciplinary teams and agent/broker to resolve encroachments and other legal challenges

5 years of relevant work experience in acquisition/management/transfer of land rights needed for utility or transportation infrastructure
