- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 6+ years of related experience.
- Professional CA PE registration or certification, as applicable.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Suite and ability to learn additional software for financial management and project needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and groundwater modeling software.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations (RCRA, SPCC, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act).
- Ability to meet physical requirements: lift 50 lbs, traverse unstable sites, work outdoors in various weather, moderate physical activity.
- Ability to travel to work locations, including overnight stays.
- Master’s degree in Engineering with an environmental focus (preferred).
- Some project or task management experience (preferred).
- Familiarity with soil, groundwater, and air treatment technologies (preferred).
- Experience with groundwater fate and transport modeling and conceptual site model development (preferred).
- Design and construction experience with environmental remediation projects (preferred).
- OSHA 40‑Hour HAZWOPER training and refresher updates (preferred).

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager, Environmental Engineer to provide technical support on diverse project teams in our San Diego, CA office. This full‑time role offers the chance to work on a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients.
The salary range for this position in San Diego is $95,000 – $115,000 annually, with actual compensation based on education, experience, certifications, skills, and market conditions. Haley & Aldrich reviews salary ranges each quarter to remain competitive.
