Tasks
-Conduct field measurements to verify existing or as-built conditions. -Recommend updates to design standards, workflows, or practices for improved efficiency. -Process preliminary design data and assist in preparing documents for all stages of design development. -Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure designs align with project requirements. -Support Engineers in developing mechanical system layouts for HVAC, piping, process, and utility systems. -Prepare plans, drawings, 3D models, specifications, and quantity take-offs using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD software. -Ensure drawings meet established CAD and Revit standards and internal quality procedures. -Perform limited on-site construction inspections to confirm compliance with design intent.

What You Bring
We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to support the planning, design, and detailing of mechanical systems for a variety of industrial and commercial projects. This position involves developing detailed drawings and design packages for both new construction and upgrades to existing facilities. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on design experience, strong technical drafting skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary project teams. -Diploma or technical degree in Mechanical Drafting, Design Technology, or a related field. -Ability to perform basic calculations related to mechanical layouts and system design. -Eligible to work in Canada (no licensing requirements for this position). -Minimum 3 years of experience using AutoDesk Revit or other 3D CAD software within the design or construction industry. -Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and drawing production standards. -Previous experience performing or assisting with site inspections. -Excellent communication and collaboration skills. -General knowledge of mechanical equipment and construction materials.

Benefits
This position offers a competitive annual base salary of $65,000 – $95,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
