Mechanical Engineer (HVAC Construction)

Description

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in leading and delivering high-quality mechanical design projects while driving technical excellence across the team.

• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and legislation.
• Promote the company through technical expertise and client engagement.
• Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors for seamless design-to-construction integration.
• Mentor and support team members, fostering a positive and collaborative culture.
• Contribute to training and development initiatives within the construction team.
• Lead and manage design projects from initiation to completion.
• Provide technical input for tenders, including site inspections and budget estimates.
• Drive compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
• Attend site and client meetings to resolve design challenges.
• Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and preparation of handover documentation.
• Conduct design reviews and provide value-engineering solutions.
• Conduct system calculations, audits, and technical reviews.
• Maintain strong communication with clients throughout project lifecycles.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

• Excellent knowledge of construction processes and engineering standards.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Minimum 8 years' experience delivering mechanical design projects.
• Proven expertise in leading mechanical design from initiation to completion.
• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong background in Health, Education, Residential, and Commercial projects.
• CPEng/NER registration.
