As a Survey Project Manager, you will guide a collaborative office and field team, managing projects from inception to completion in residential/commercial land development and renewable energy sectors. The role offers autonomy in an entrepreneurial environment, allowing you to broaden your skill set across diverse project scopes.
- Collaborate and lead a team responsible for drafting, reviewing, and finalizing preliminary and final site plans and construction documents.
- Review project survey data utilizing the latest technology and industry software.
- Analyze existing site conditions and factors for development, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement and condo documents.
- Plan, organize, and supervise survey crews, technicians, and office staff members.
- Provide oversight on large‑scale ALTA surveys related to solar or wind power generation.
- Guide junior team members in permit applications, cut sheets, quantity estimates, transmittals, and construction document assembly.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software to deliver assignments on time, within standards and budgets.
- Attend paid training, industry conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Mentor staff through new‑hire training, career planning, and continuous professional development.

The ideal candidate holds a Professional Survey License and brings more than eight years of survey industry experience, with proven ability to coach and develop a growing team. Experience with Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and advanced knowledge of boundary, ALTA, construction staking, and related surveying techniques is preferred.
- Professional Survey License (PLS, PSM).
- 8+ years of survey industry experience.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop a growing team.
- Prior experience with Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
- Advanced understanding of boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, construction staking, leveling, traversing, GPS, data collection, legal descriptions, plan interpretations, and real estate documents.
