What you would be doing

  • Adhering to company safety policies and performing work in a safe manner.
  • Continuously monitoring the unloading process, while safely operating manual unloading gates, air valves and blowers.
  • Ensuring each load is completed to the customer’s specification within legal limits.
  • Cleaning all areas of the terminal and grounds, and obtaining daily/weekly samples.
  • Loading bulk trucks in a safe, efficient and timely manner from the designated silos, as instructed by the Terminal Manager.
  • Unloading barges, which includes helping to moor the barges in the unloading area, hooking up unloading hoses.

  • Ability to work independently, without constant supervision
  • High School Diploma or equivalent from accredited institution is required
  • Must have solid industrial mechanical skills, as will be performing routine maintenance
  • Ability to work at heights up to 150 feet
  • Ability to operate forklifts and tractors for cutting grass
  • In good physical condition, able to bend, use broom and shovel, able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs., sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders and walk on mixed terrain and in confined spaces
  • Able to work different extended hours, holidays and/or overtime as required
  • Able to work inside and outside in year-round weather conditions
  • Speak, read, write and understand English
