Transportation Router

Description

• Produce and distribute nightly driver manifest reports
• Review prior-day routing results and adjust routes as needed
• Support additional transportation-related tasks as assigned
• Use Roadnet routing software daily to manage routes and maintain expected delivery cost run rates
• Create and optimize cost-effective delivery routes in compliance with Federal DOT regulations
• Create maps and driving instructions for drivers unfamiliar with routes
• Develop routing procedures and schedules to maximize efficiency, equipment utilization, and driver safety
• Perform daily routing maintenance, including
• Generate routing reports related to costing, maintenance, KPIs, scorecards, and customer data

Requirements

This is a hands-on, individual contributor role within a high-volume transportation operation, ideal for a detail-oriented routing professional with strong Roadnet experience. You’ll play a critical role in building cost-effective, DOT-compliant delivery routes while collaborating closely with transportation, warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to support daily operations and customer satisfaction.

• 1–5+ years of transportation, logistics, or distribution experience
• Hands-on experience using Roadnet routing software (required)
• Experience with AS400 or similar transportation systems
• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
• Basic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
