The Irrigation Technician will be responsible for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of irrigation components such as valves, sprinkler heads, hoses, and control timers. The technician will also conduct detailed system inspections, operate hand and power tools, and ensure safe, environmentally‑responsible work practices.
- Maintain and repair irrigation systems, including valves, fan belts, switches, and contacts.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and test irrigation systems.
- Operate timers, clocks, and controls to turn systems on or off.
- Repair or replace hoses, pipes, sprinkler heads, and fixtures.
- Install or repair irrigation lines and valves.
- Conduct and document detailed system inspections.
- Use hand and power equipment for landscape and irrigation tasks.
- Follow safety and environmental best practices.
- Obtain and maintain required certifications and licenses for the local market.

Candidates must have at least one year of experience with irrigation system installation and repair, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read site maps and use hand/power tools. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lb, bending, stooping, and working outdoors in extreme temperatures; Spanish language skills and landscape‑lighting experience are a plus.
- Minimum 1 year experience installing, inspecting, and repairing irrigation systems.
- Valid driver’s license and clear motor vehicle record.
- Proficiency with conventional and two‑wire irrigation systems.
- Knowledge of irrigation hand and power tools; landscape‑lighting experience a plus.
- Ability to read irrigation site maps and legends; Spanish language a plus.
- Ability to work long periods outdoors in extreme temperatures.
- Physical ability to bend, stoop, twist, lift and carry up to 50 lb.
