Provides engineering, project management & digital solutions for complex infrastructure in regulated sectors.
We are looking for EC&I Engineers at all levels, from three years’ experience to principal level, based across UK offices with hybrid working. The role will shape EC&I and control system concepts from early requirements through detailed design and delivery, translating stakeholder needs into robust, compliant control architectures across the full project lifecycle.
Previous nuclear experience is not essential; engineers from other highly regulated sectors are encouraged to apply. Candidates with six to seven of the listed skills are welcome, including experience in regulated industries, systems‑engineering mindset, front‑end engineering exposure and vendor‑agnostic PLC knowledge.
The position is ideal for engineers who enjoy thinking, structuring and defining complex control systems rather than merely executing specifications. You will influence designs from a blank sheet of paper and see them delivered on nationally significant programmes, while benefiting from hybrid working, flexible hours and a comprehensive benefits package.
Joining Assystem places you in one of the three largest nuclear engineering firms worldwide. You will work in an environment that values technical thinking, structured problem solving and long‑term career development, influencing projects from earliest design stages. Continuous learning, internal mobility and the chance to work across fusion, modular nuclear and major UK infrastructure programmes support your growth.
