Component Engineer (Lead) for Turbine
Siemens
Siemens focuses on electrification, automation, and digitalization across various industries.
Lead component engineer designing turbine components and leading the design team.
Lead and mentor a design team, ensuring high-quality output aligned with project budgets and schedules.
Evaluate non-conformance reports (NCRs) and define corrective actions.
Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, service, and other stakeholders.
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and management.
Maintain comprehensive design documentation and support technical reviews.
Troubleshoot manufacturing deviations and field issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
Perform, fit and function studies to ensure design integrity and compatibility.
Securing the supply chain and necessary minerals
Design and develop core steam turbine components and Flywheels (forged, casted & fabricated) with consideration for performance, durability, cost, and ease of manufacturing and service.
Strengthening electrical grids
Generate and release detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and bills of materials (BOMs).

Experience in root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
Knowledge of industry standards (ASME, ISO, DIN).

Understanding thermodynamics and Finite element analysis.
Proficiency in CAD (e.g., Siemens NX, AutoCAD).
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

5+ years of experience in steam turbine design or similar rotating equipment.
Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter) and SAP.
