  • Build and maintain fraud dashboards, KPIs, and executive-level reporting to guide strategic decisions and resource allocation.
  • Manage the end-to-end funds recovery process, including chargebacks, ACH returns, and collaboration with financial institutions and law enforcement.
  • Leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and behavioral modeling to detect fraud patterns, assess vulnerabilities, and anticipate emerging threats.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing fraud risk team, including analysts, investigators, and operations specialists.
  • Define and lead a fraud risk strategy that aligns with enterprise goals, balancing fraud prevention with customer experience and revenue growth.
  • Identify and prioritize fraud risks across channels, products, and geographies, and develop mitigation plans accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Oversee day-to-day fraud operations, including manual reviews, queue management, and case investigations.
  • Lead the fraud incident response process, ensuring timely escalation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain fraud-related policies, procedures, and training programs across the organization.
  • Partner with product, operations, and customer experience teams to embed risk-aware design into new initiatives and customer journeys.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with product and engineering to evaluate, implement, and optimize fraud detection platforms and case management systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to enhance fraud rules, models, and automation capabilities.

  • Experience designing fraud controls that minimize customer friction and support trust and retention
  • Experience with fraud detection systems (e.g., Oscilar, DataVisor, Feedzai)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to define fraud strategies that support business growth while minimizing risk
  • Experience managing fraud operations, including manual reviews and recovery workflows
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Finance, Risk Management, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CAMS, CFE) is a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of fraud typologies (e.g., identity theft, synthetic fraud, payments fraud)
  • 8–12 years of experience in fintech, payments, or financial services, with a focus on fraud and payments risk management.
  • Strong command of SQL, Python, R, or similar tools for data analysis
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Strong analytical and process design skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead root-cause investigations and implement controls.
