Tasks
-Participate in all project leadership meetings and activities including client management meetings and activities. -Participate in development and management of the commissioning and start up budget -Participate in subcontractor plans for pre-commissioning, turnover, commissioning, training, testing and start up activities -Participate in providing a planned, documented, and managed engineering and construction approach to the turnover for pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, operations and testing, and final hand-over of facilities, systems, and equipment to the client -Support in the development and management of the client commissioning and start up budget. -Understand the current capabilities of automation tools and ensure they are being utilized to the full benefit of the department and project. -Develop and maintain the system centric integrated commissioning and start up schedule; control all costs associated with commissioning labor and equipment; develop a commissioning and start up plan; and integrate activities and deliverables with engineering, procurement, construction management, and commissioning and start up -Participate in the career development of personnel. -Participate in subcontractor, supplier and vendor plans for preoperational (pre-commissioning & turnover activities. -Assist in developing the Site Quality Manual (SQM) assisting the construction quality manager and engineering discipline leads in determining the appropriate requirements for the equipment and project location to be included in the SQM -Collaborate in coordination meetings between Fluor and Teck on overall HVC/MLE objectives. -Conduct monthly and quarterly interviews and maintain close client relationship with client plant manager -Maintain a safe work environment by administering a proactive environmental, health and safety program oriented towards maintenance activities and zero accidents. -Oversee and provide directions to area pre-operational testing personnel and leads for all Fluor scoped process areas. -Assist in developing the Site Quality Manual (SQM) assisting the construction quality manager and engineering discipline leads in determining the appropriate requirements for the equipment and project location to be included in the SQM. -Conduct monthly and quarterly interviews and maintain close client relationships with client program commissioning manager and operations readiness manager and teams. -Develop and maintain the system centric integrated pre-operational, commissioning and start up schedule; control all costs associated with preoperational labor and equipment; develop a preoperational plan; and integrate activities and deliverables with engineering, procurement, construction management, and client commissioning and start up. -Participate in providing a planned, documented, and managed preoperational (pre-commissioning) execution from an engineering and construction approach to the mechanical completion turnover from construction to client commissioning, function testing, load commissioning, ramp-up, operations and testing, and final hand-over of facilities, systems, and equipment to the client.

What You Bring
-Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and ten (10) years of work-related experience or a or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to fifteen (15) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications to comply with local requirements. -Experience with creating and managing a facility pre-commissioning plan. -Prior mill mining related commissioning management assignments. -Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner. -Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job. -Five (5) years control room operations experience (operations/mechanical) -Experience in both Lump Sum and reimbursable Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction/Construction Projects including pre-commissioning, commissioning, training, etc. -Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders. -Ten (10) years commissioning and start up experience with at least five (5) years minimum experience in a supervisory or managerial role -Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines. -Experience with the pre-commissioning, startup and the commissioning of mining systems, electrical buildings, and miscellaneous infrastructure
