Foresters will identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility right‑of‑way (ROW) corridors, submit detailed reports with recommendations, plan and direct tree‑clearance crews, negotiate access issues, act as a liaison among clients, crews, and customers, and develop hazard‑mitigation plans for vegetation management projects.
Candidates must hold a 2‑ or 4‑year degree in a related discipline or have at least two years of utility vegetation management experience, with a preferred minimum of one year in the field. ISA Arborist certification, strong computer and GIS skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently in varied terrain and inclement weather are required.
The position offers a salary range of $18–$24 per hour for New Jersey residents, with actual pay dependent on location, experience, and performance.
