The assistant supports customers and donors by safely unloading donations, loading purchases, and keeping the back‑room and donation dock organized. Responsibilities include providing outstanding service, loading and unloading merchandise and trucks, following safety procedures, communicating donation policies, maintaining product knowledge, working collaboratively with staff and volunteers, and operating a forklift when needed.
Applicants must be able to lift 50 lb unassisted, stand and move for extended periods, work outdoors in all weather, climb steps to a forklift cab, and obtain forklift certification. Interaction with customers, volunteers, and donors is required, and the role works 40 hours per week with rotating shifts and occasional weekends/holidays.
