As a Regional Director, Sales for CoStar Data & Analytics in Sacramento, you will be accountable for delivering the company’s growth objectives across your assigned region. You will grow revenues by selling new subscriptions, up‑crossing existing customers, and maintaining high renewal rates, while leading a team of sales professionals focused on new business, account expansion, product adoption, and exceptional customer service.
Key responsibilities include driving regional and team revenue to meet or exceed annual targets, recruiting and developing high‑impact salespeople, and spending three to four days per week in the field alongside your team to provide coaching and training. You will manage the identification and prioritization of new client relationships, retain and expand current accounts, monitor sales performance, enforce CRM usage, and set performance targets that align with overall business goals. Maintaining CoStar’s culture and values within the team is also essential.
Basic qualifications require a bachelor’s degree and a valid driver’s license. External candidates must have at least five years of experience directly managing six or more sales professionals and be responsible for a recurring revenue book of more than $10 million annually. Internal candidates need a minimum of five years of overall sales experience, including 24+ months in a quota‑carrying role at CoStar, with a strong record of meeting or exceeding targets.
Preferred qualifications include client‑facing experience in the commercial real‑estate industry, demonstrated ability to build long‑term relationships at all levels, and a track record of rapidly growing a sales territory through new client acquisition and existing account expansion. Candidates should also have strong internal and external relationship‑building skills and the ability to retain high‑performing sales producers while removing under‑performers.
