The role involves leading the deployment of Protection, Controls and Automation (PCA) systems for customers across a range of industries, collaborating with contractors, end‑users and construction teams to meet project objectives.
You will commission and troubleshoot equipment, deliver customer training, and document as‑built system configurations, traveling daily within a regional area with occasional overnight assignments and possible second‑shift work.
- Deploy Protection, Controls and Automation (PCA) systems across data centers, oil and gas, healthcare, manufacturing, military, commercial and education sites.
- Collaborate daily with contractors and end‑users in construction environments.
- Verify prerequisites for Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT).
- Install, upgrade, customize, and integrate PCA software.
- Start‑up, commission, and troubleshoot Schneider Electric and third‑party relays, networking, and SCADA solutions.
- Provide on‑site customer training and resolve device communication issues.
- Replace hardware components and perform as‑built documentation.
- Travel to regional customer sites on a daily basis with approximately 10 % overnight travel; occasional second‑shift work may be required.

Candidates must possess an associate degree, trade or military training, strong communication skills, and a stable work history that supports extensive customer travel. They should be proficient in reading blueprints, understand AC/DC power principles, and have at least two years of field service repair experience with electrical equipment, using test and diagnostic tools while adhering to strict safety practices.
Preferred qualifications include a technical degree in power systems, experience with MV/LV switchgear, knowledge of industrial communication protocols and networking, and familiarity with Schneider Electric software such as Easergy Pro, Micom Studio and EPAS. Certifications like NFPA‑70E, OSHA, NICET or NETA are advantageous.
The position requires the ability to obtain any necessary security clearances, background checks, or other credentials for travel to customer sites, including international locations.
- Hold an associate degree, trade/vocational certification, or equivalent military training in an electrical‑related field.
- Minimum two years of field service repair and customer service experience with electrical equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics and a solid understanding of AC and DC power principles.
- Proficient with test and diagnostic equipment while following lock‑out/tag‑out and NFPA‑70E safety procedures.
- Preferred: technical degree focused on power systems or electronics and experience with MV/LV switchgear.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, IEC 61850, DNP3.0 and BACnet.
- Familiarity with computer networking architectures, topologies, and Schneider Electric software (Easergy Pro, Micom Studio, EPAS).
- Relevant certifications (NFPA‑70E, OSHA, NICET, NETA) are advantageous.
- Ability to obtain required security clearances, background checks, and travel credentials for domestic and international customer sites.
