This role, slated to begin in summer 2026, allows engineers to apply their expertise in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and power plant engineering. The position involves supporting client recommendations through technical analysis and may require travel to client, vendor, and plant sites.
- Conduct equipment sizing, optimization evaluations, and selection to meet project needs.
- Participate in system engineering, including design, modification, and analysis of power plant mechanical systems.
- Produce technical plans, fabrication drawings, and models using design tools and techniques.
- Utilize MS Office applications for documentation and reporting.

Candidates must hold a BSME or MSME with a strong academic foundation in thermal and power systems, and possess solid mechanical engineering knowledge, numerical computation skills, and effective communication abilities. Additional education, practical experience, and engineering certifications are valued.
- Demonstrate strong interest in numerical computations and problem solving.
- Hold an ABET‑accredited BS or MS degree (preferred).
- Possess engineering internship or co‑op experience (preferred).
- Have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam and be an Engineer in Training (preferred).
- Experience preparing support documentation for mechanical engineering calculations (preferred).
- Completed coursework in power engineering, turbomachinery, thermal systems, and energy conversion (preferred).
