The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, design and delivery of innovative surface water management and sustainable drainage solutions in line with best practices, local planning requirements and environmental regulations, supporting a talented, diverse team committed to innovation and efficiency.

Lead and support design of SuDS interventions for residential, commercial and infrastructure projects across all design stages, including feasibility, outline and detailed design, and preparation of reports and specifications.
Perform hydraulic modelling, runoff calculations and attenuation/storage design to meet current standards and provide technical expertise for interdisciplinary studies.
Prepare contract documents for the construction phase of SuDS solutions.
Liaise with clients, local authorities, planning officers and regulators to secure approvals and support site teams during implementation and construction.
Promote innovation and sustainable practices, conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with CIRIA SuDS Manual, local guidance and legislation.

Hold a degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
Have proven senior‑engineer experience designing and delivering sustainable drainage or nature‑based solutions.
Be Chartered or Incorporated (or working towards) with ICE, CIWEM or a similar institution.
Be proficient in drainage design software such as Civil 3D.
Experience conducting engineering assessments, options appraisals, calculations and economic appraisals.
Experience mentoring and training junior staff.
