  • Construction schedule progress and cost reporting
  • Understand and administer service provider contracts
  • Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect information, establish facts and draw conclusions.
  • Responsible for construction-related activities on projects such as:
  • Establish and maintain constructive and positive working relationships with external and internal customers.
  • Responsible for providing construction support and working with Engineering & Construction Project Managers/Engineers, Commercial staff, Area Operations staff, 3rd Party Engineering firms and contractors to assist in project design, estimating, and scheduling.
  • Assist Project Managers with the development of project scopes of work to assure operational fit and constructability through on-site field investigations, planning and meetings with appropriate parties.
  • Respect and follow safety policies and regulations; scan the environment for objects or people who may pose a safety risk; encourage others to utilize safe and healthy work practices.
  • Attentive to detail and accuracy; identified opportunities to drive continuous improvement; monitor safety/quality level; find root cause of safety/quality problems.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Coordination of surveying activities, involvement in contractor bid process, construction and inspection management to ensure compliance with company standards, specifications, job safety, environmental permits, right of way clearances and required project documentation.
  • Manage, coordinate, and direct the daily activities of contract construction personnel for projects conducted by the Engineering & Construction Group.
  • Construction oversight and leadership of on-site construction management
  • Fulfill commitments made to peers, co-workers, supervisors and customers; takes personal responsibility for seeing efforts through to completion and/or makes tough decisions.
  • Demonstrate commitment to compliance with applicable laws, regulations and the company’s ethics code of conduct and other company policies and procedures.

  • Ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Inspection certification in an inspection area (i.e. CWI, NACE, API 1169)
  • Ability to understand customer and critical path reporting.
  • Ability to infer from design to construction completion.
  • Excellent construction management leadership skills.
