The Service Manager is responsible for delivering service and sales within an assigned region, managing Service Technicians, sub‑contractors, vendors, and customers. The role oversees all incoming repair requests and preventative‑maintenance jobs, handling scheduling, estimating, technician training, and customer development. It also maintains customer relationships and ensures work quality meets customer‑specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Essential functions include overseeing field and office operations, managing employee performance, controlling labor and material costs, and ensuring service levels exceed customer expectations. The manager is accountable for budget management, timely resolution of work exceptions, quality validation, and prompt proposal submissions. Additional duties involve preparing estimates for large scopes, conducting performance reviews, fostering professional development, and upholding safety regulations.
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and strong technical knowledge in general building, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC/refrigeration commercial trades. Candidates must be able to interpret architectural plans, demonstrate a positive customer focus, communicate effectively, and exhibit attention to detail, creative problem‑solving, and analytical abilities. Flexibility to work nights or weekends, a reliable vehicle, tools, a clean driver’s license, and proficiency with Microsoft Office are also required.
Compensation ranges from $73,000 to $94,000 annually, based on experience, and includes a comprehensive benefits package featuring medical, dental (HMO and PPO), vision, life and AD&D insurance, flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) plan, vacation and sick leave, and paid holidays.
