Reviews designs, construction documents, submittals, and provides comments on maintainability, reliability, and ease of operations.
Plans and directs mechanical preventive and corrective maintenance programs. Oversees complex repairs to existing mechanical equipment.
Coordinates and oversees in-house construction projects, including equipment demolition and installation.
Develops maintenance schedules and requirements for all equipment. Determines procedures for maintenance, installation, modification and repair of equipment. Evaluates work in progress, and upon completion, determines the quality and timeliness of assignments.
Contact with internal and external customers, executive management, consultants, contractors, vendors and regulatory agencies.
Evaluates, develops, recommends and implements division policies and procedures. Responsible for promoting safety training, awareness and injury prevention.

Associate’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related field from an institution accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting agency.
Three years of experience in a management or supervisory capacity.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Ability to make sound decisions in complex situations.
TCEQ Class "B" Wastewater Operator License, Class "III" Wastewater Collection Operator License, or registration as a Professional Engineer in Texas with a wastewater background.
Ability to work hours other than the regular daytime schedule such as shift work, on call, or emergency response situations.
Valid Class “C” Texas Driver’s License.
Ability to interface with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, and other departments and to establish and maintain effective and cooperative professional working relationships to meet business objectives.
Demonstrated expert-level skills in operations and maintenance, regulatory requirements, and effective management.
Six years of progressively responsible Industrial, Water or Wastewater experience.
Proficient in the use and application of computer software packages which include: word processing, spreadsheets, databases; and computerized maintenance management systems.
