The Director of Portfolio Asset Management is the strategic and operational leader for multiple client asset‑management workstreams within BGIS’s integrated facility management product. This role blends deep technical mastery of building systems, capital planning and digital asset intelligence with senior‑level business transformation, client engagement and people leadership. The director will spearhead complex account transitions, launch first‑generation outsourcing programs, drive cross‑functional integration of asset‑management systems, mentor the next generation of professionals, and deliver sustainable profitability across assigned portfolios.
Key responsibilities include partnering with the Senior Director to develop and continuously refine the integrated asset‑management product‑line strategy, ensuring high‑quality delivery of programs that meet client expectations and internal metrics, and cultivating strategic relationships with senior‑level client stakeholders to drive satisfaction, retention and cross‑sell opportunities. The director also provides escalation handling and backup support for other asset‑management engagements within the practice.
Strategic leadership involves defining vision and strategy for each client, translating organizational goals into scalable business plans, and championing continuous improvement of processes, technologies and service delivery models. People management responsibilities cover building, coaching and retaining a high‑performance team, leading recruitment, performance management, succession planning and professional development, and mentoring mid‑level leaders. Integrated service delivery oversees end‑to‑end program execution—from data collection and predictive maintenance to capital budgeting and business case development—while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001/14001 standards and client SLAs. The role also provides hands‑on technical guidance, leads design of digital asset‑management frameworks, drives innovation in analytics, AI/ML and sustainability, and manages governance, risk and compliance to meet MSA requirements.
The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Business Administration or a related technical field, with more than 10 years of hands‑on experience managing integrated asset and facility programs across diverse corporate real‑estate portfolios. Expertise is required across the entire asset lifecycle, capital planning, life‑cycle costing, preventive and predictive maintenance, and financial analysis including CAPEX/OPEX forecasting, ROI, NPV/IRR and cash‑flow impact. Proficiency with CMMS/IS, BIM, IoT sensor ecosystems and data‑analytics tools is essential, as is strong financial acumen, P&L ownership, strategic planning, change management, stakeholder engagement, and client‑relationship skills. Professional designations such as CFM, CAMP or PMP are highly desirable.
This is a regular, full‑time position with a salary range of $129,682 – $162,103 per annum, based on the successful candidate’s competencies, experience, education and performance related to the role.
