Conducts work in support of and prepares Phase I Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM Standard E1527-21, Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments: Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Process to identify recognized environmental conditions and other conditions of environmental concern for a project and related off-site properties in accordance with ASTM.
Assists with asbestos, mold, other IH surveys and abatement/remediation projects.
Independently performs non-routine field testing on a variety of projects.
Perform oversight and air monitoring during asbestos abatement projects.
Performs screenings and surveys for the presence of hazardous building materials (asbestos, lead, radon, etc.) and subsurface contamination. Screenings may include collection of samples.
Adhere to strict safety standards.
Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
Obtains site access, public and private utility clearance, coordinates with various project stakeholders, and schedules drillers, laboratories, and other subcontractors for Phase II or Industrial Hygiene work.
Perform complex monitoring and well sampling.
Reviews previous assessment reports, historical and regulatory records for the property and for the surrounding area and reports data in accordance with ASTM criteria and/or client's scope of work.
Lead Risk Assessor
Conducts interviews with appropriate project stakeholders and government officials to obtain information concerning the environmental conditions related to the property and adjacent properties.
