  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across planning, engineering, environmental, and digital disciplines.
  • Help drive innovation in modelling tools, data use, and digital delivery approaches.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level modellers.
  • Lead the production, calibration, validation, and application of transport models (e.g., strategic, microsimulation, demand models).
  • Manage and deliver a portfolio of projects, ensuring they meet agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Oversee technical quality and ensure modelling outputs are robust, transparent, and aligned with client objectives.
  • Engage with clients, partners, and stakeholders to build strong, long-lasting relationships.

  • Experience managing complex modelling projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
  • Significant experience in transport modelling, ideally including tools such as SATURN, VISUM, VISSIM, PARAMICS, EMME, Aimsun, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of transport planning principles, appraisal, and policy frameworks.
