Respond to site queries regarding plant availability, breakdowns, servicing, and replacements
Assist in the administration of plant inspections, certifications, and compliance documentation
Assist with obtaining quotations from suppliers for plant and equipment
Ensure all plant-related data is handled in compliance with GDPR and internal data policies
Support the onboarding of new plant assets into the system, including tagging and documentation
The Plant Service and Hire Assistant ensures that all internal and external plant requirements are processed accurately, service schedules are maintained, and plant hire records are up to date.
A key administrative and coordination role supporting the Deputy Plant Manager in delivering efficient plant service, hire control, and operational support across GSA geotechnical sites.
Track and update service schedules for all plant and equipment, ensuring timely maintenance and inspections
The role also includes coordinating servicing and repair activities to ensure plant reliability and compliance, with a strong understanding of CPA contract terms and best practices
Maintain accurate records of plant usage, hire durations, off-hires, service history, and associated costs
Gather the weekly plant inspection forms, delivery inspection forms and PUWER logs from all of the GSA sites
Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely and cost-effective plant provision
Coordinate repair activities for faulty or damaged plant, ensuring minimal disruption to site operations
Assist the plant department lead by the plant manager in coordinating plant service and hire activities across GSA sites
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in plant hire, service, and repair processes
Monitor plant availability and utilisation to support efficient resource allocation
Support audits and inspections by maintaining accessible and accurate records
Apply CPA contract terms and familiarisation when managing external plant hire agreements
Liaise with internal plant teams and approved external suppliers to arrange delivery, collection, servicing, and repairs
Process plant hire requests from site teams and maintain accurate hire logs
