NPL Operator

Description

As an experienced Equipment Operator, after paid training you will safely operate equipment to move earth, tools and materials to and from job sites. Reporting to a seasoned Foreman, you will join a crew to get the job done right and assist with general labor as needed. We believe in the power of teamwork.

• Safely operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, backhoes, trenchers, pavers, dozers, milling saws, road graders, hydro‑excavators, and track hoes.
• Load and unload equipment and materials at job sites.
• Perform daily pre‑shift vehicle and equipment inspections.
• Conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of assigned machinery.
• Maintain required Operator Qualifications (EWN and/or NGA).
• Assist with general labor tasks as directed by leadership.
• Obtain and retain EWN and/or NGA certifications.

Work sites are outdoors and may present extreme weather conditions. All safety instructions are communicated in English, and employees must be fluent in English. The role involves prolonged lifting, standing, climbing, and work within the “red zone” of heavy equipment, requiring constant alertness and hand‑eye coordination.

Candidates must pass pre‑employment drug screens, background checks, provide valid US work authorization for E‑Verify, hold a clean driver’s license, and obtain a DOT medical card. Union membership is required. The position is subject to DOT safety‑sensitive regulations.

• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license.
• Possess at least one year of experience operating equipment near workers and underground utilities.
