FAFS Fire & Security designs, installs, commissions and services automatic fire detection, protection and alarm systems across Greater London. The company is seeking a Service Engineer to cover London and surrounding regions, working to uphold ISO 9001 quality standards and enhance the company’s reputation for quality and customer service.
The Engineer will service fire and associated systems in line with current regulations, perform scheduled routine maintenance, respond to emergency call‑outs, and carry out any additional work required at customer premises. Responsibilities also include completing all required documentation, managing equipment stock, supporting out‑of‑hours rotas, and communicating system status and fire safety information to clients.
Candidates must have at least three years of relevant experience, a thorough understanding of BS 5839 Part 1, and basic electrical safety training (ECA). Additional knowledge of BS 7671, BS 6266, and manufacturer‑specific systems such as Siemens and Gent is desirable, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
