  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 50 lbs will be done with the assistance of another team member or equipment.
  • Order necessary materials in advance or before running out of supplies
  • Finish carpentry: install toilet accessories, hand rails, corner guards, toilet partitions, lockers, upper cabinets, lower cabinets, countertops, wall paneling systems, coffered ceiling systems and running trim
  • Train craft and foreman on job procedures
  • Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performance
  • Assign workers to such tasks as cutting material to size, building concrete forms, erecting wooden framework, and laying flooring
  • Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
  • Examine blueprints to determine the dimensions of structure
  • Supervise crews – daily progress checks, verifying safety, quality and productivity
  • Set gang wall forms
  • Select materials and structural units, such as lumber, prefabricated doors, cabinets of wood or plastic, paneling, and inspects them to ensure conformance with provisions of building code and local ordinance
  • Lay out floor-plan and cabinetwork using tape, framing square and calipers
  • Install doors, builds stairs and lays hardwood floors
  • Set door frames, hang doors, and install hardware
  • Ensure proper IWP is in place and understood by their crew
  • Unload, handle, stockpile and erect of all pre-fabricated materials
  • Verify timecards are filled out correctly at the end of the day
  • Inspect work performed by subcontractors including ductwork, wiring and pipe installations, to ensure conformance with specifications
  • Determine sequence of activities concerned with fabrication, assembly and erection of structure
  • Assign workers to required task for the day
