The Field Safety Representative provides safety support, leadership, and technical expertise on assigned projects, ensuring compliance with site‑specific safety plans, corporate safety policies, project requirements, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Provide safety oversight during construction operations.
- Deliver project‑specific safety training to employees and subcontractors.
- Document safety violations and unsafe conditions.
- Identify hazards and implement timely corrective actions.
- Attend and participate in project safety meetings, including subcontractor safety personnel.
- Complete all safety reporting promptly.
- Coordinate with customers and external agencies as needed.
- Educate and train employees on regulatory and company safety requirements.
- Participate in incident investigations and may accompany injured employees for medical evaluation.
- Conduct environmental, health, and safety compliance audits.
- Communicate safety observations to all levels of project management.
- Lead on‑site “on‑the‑spot” training and tailgate meetings.
- Orient new personnel to company and project safety practices.
- Enforce federal, state, local, and company safety regulations.
- Recognize hazardous situations and apply corrective measures.

- Maintain a high school diploma or AA/BA in a safety‑related field; 1‑5 years safety experience; preferred certifications such as OSHA 500, First Aid, CPR.
- Possess knowledge of PPE, fall protection, confined space, scaffolding, crane/rigging, hazardous communication, equipment safety, incident investigation, traffic control, and OQ training.
- Demonstrate strong time management, detail orientation, problem‑solving, written and verbal communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to work extended hours, weekends, travel as needed; maintain a valid driver’s license.
Benefits
Compensation is hourly at $35‑$45 depending on experience, and employees receive medical, dental, vision, and 401K benefits. All hires must pass criminal background checks, motor‑vehicle record reviews, and drug testing, and the role may require extended hours, weekends, and travel.
