Description

• Monitor supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery; expedite as needed.
• Conduct regular supplier meetings to review metrics and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and requirements.
• Resolve supplier quality and payment issues in collaboration with internal teams.
• Mentor junior purchasing staff and provide coverage for team members as needed.
• Collaborate with sourcing and commodity managers to implement sourcing initiatives.
• Support onboarding and qualification of new suppliers.
• Serve as subject matter expert for assigned commodities and related systems.
• Partner with internal teams to review priorities and provide status updates.
• Execute purchase order placement, confirmation, and timely updates.
• Contribute to risk management and escalation strategies for global supply chain disruptions.
• Drive process improvements to simplify workflows and enhance efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings and terminology.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• SAP experience strongly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, Outlook).
• Strong experience with MRP/ERP systems.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Proven ability to analyze and resolve problems independently.
• APICS/ASCM or related purchasing certification.
• Ability to work collaboratively or autonomously; self-starter mindset.
