Primary duties include preparing and reviewing scopes of work and budgets, overseeing projects from inception through completion, and conducting due‑diligence reviews for environmental documents. The individual will assist with permit applications and maintenance, direct field studies, manage sub‑consultants, and support the professional growth of team members. Strong client service, multitasking, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team are essential.
Applicants must hold a master’s degree in archaeology, anthropology, historic preservation, architectural history, history, or a related discipline, and possess at least 12 years of CRM experience, including five years as a project coordinator in the Four Corners region. Required credentials include Registered Professional Archaeologist status, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain necessary permits across federal, state, tribal, and local lands. Proficiency with the MS Office suite, cultural resource databases, and strong writing, editing, and communication skills are also required.
The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, splitting time between a Barr office in Albuquerque, Farmington, or Durango and a home office, with up to 20% travel as project needs dictate. Candidates must be able to work in office settings and in challenging field environments, including rough terrain, industrial sites, and areas with hazardous materials, with appropriate safety training provided.
The role provides a salary range of $100,000–$120,000, plus eligibility for discretionary bonuses and profit‑sharing through the employee‑stock ownership plan.
