Real Estate Investment Associate

Description

The Associate will support the full leasing lifecycle across an active industrial portfolio while also contributing to investment underwriting, market analysis, and acquisitions. This is an ideal opportunity for a self-starter who wants broad exposure across leasing and deal-making within a nimble, entrepreneurial environment. The role is based in Queens, NY with regular travel to regional assets.

• Assist in developing marketing materials, brochures, and digital listings.
• Track and analyze leasing metrics and portfolio performance.
• Support underwriting of new acquisitions, developments, and redevelopment opportunities.
• Help maintain deal pipeline and coordinate with brokers, sellers, and internal stakeholders.
• Serve as a point of contact for prospective and existing tenants; coordinate property tours and manage inquiries.
• Participate in due diligence for acquisitions, including site inspections, lease audits, and third-party report review.
• Support lease negotiations, LOIs, renewals, amendments, and term sheets.
• Assist in preparing investment memos, financial models, and presentations for internal decision-making.
• Perform market research, including industrial supply/demand trends, comparable sales, and rental analyses.
• Maintain up-to-date leasing pipelines, tenant activity reports, and market comps.

Requirements

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple active deals.
• 2–5 years of experience in commercial real estate; industrial experience strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and real estate analytics platforms (e.g., CoStar, LoopNet).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage effectively with tenants, brokers, and internal teams.
• Strong understanding of leasing fundamentals, market analysis, and basic financial modeling.
• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Familiarity with the New York industrial market is a plus.
